Durability: Although glass tiles are usually not as durable as other types of tiles, still as long as they are not under pressure they can last for decades.
Specific advantage: resistant to water and humidity makes it a good choice for bathroom and kitchen. Being available in a wide variety of colors, shininess, patterns, and finishes, glass tile is decorative and functional at the same time.
Installation: Installation of glass tile is tricky and so we highly recommend that you hire a professional to do that.
Weaknesses and limitation: Glass tiles are not as durable as other types of tiles. They usually break relatively easily. Considering the usually-high cost, for sure not a DIY project.
